CLV over a week

CLV over a week: 1.91 → 1.80

The odds course showed you CLV on a single match. Here it becomes a weekly habit: every single gets an accepted price and a closing price. The picture shows an arrow. A week of 12 bets does not prove skill. A week without the two prices proves that, for you, CLV is just a slogan, and a slogan cannot read the line.

CLV over a week in plain words

CLV over a week is a recording discipline, not a player rating. You can lose over a week with positive CLV, and you can win with negative CLV. The school asks for both axes in your table. The closing price is recorded before any goal; after a goal it is a different price, and you have not earned it as the close.

How it works

Seven calendar days, pre-match only, singles only. Take the close 2–5 minutes before kick-off, at one bookmaker, and do not hunt for an in-play close. At the end of the week, note n, the share of CLV+ bets and the profit in units. Do not conclude "I am a sharp". Conclude either "I am recording" or "I forgot again".

  1. A template with two prices.
  2. A week of pre-match bets.
  3. No in-play.
  4. A weekly total, not derby emotions.

Example with numbers

12 singles: 7 CLV+, 5 CLV−, −1.2u. You beat the close more often and are still slightly down. That is not a contradiction; these are two separate axes. Anyone who deletes the five CLV− bets because "they didn't count, the referee was to blame" is once again relying on memory instead of the line.

Common mistakes

  • Recording the close after a goal.
  • Mixing bookmakers for the close without noting it.
  • Calling a week of two bets a sample.
  • Removing CLV− bets by hand.

What to write in your diary

A weekly block: n / CLV+ / u. Repeat it every Monday.

CLV, closing line. Next: shopping and fill.

Check

In a week you placed 12 singles: 7 with CLV+, 5 with CLV−, and the total is −1.2 units. How should you read this?
