Glossary
A betting dictionary: odds, margin, handicap, totals, bankroll and other line terms.
Each card is a full article: what the term means, how books price it, a worked example and common mistakes. This is a player reference, not tips and not a place to bet.
Banker
A selection that must win in every part of a system or acca. If the banker loses, the slip is dead.
Bankroll
Money set aside only for betting, kept apart from rent, food and savings.
Betting exchange
A market where you bet against other users: back if it happens, lay if it does not. The exchange takes commission, not a built-in overround.
Both teams to score
BTTS: both sides score at least once — yes or no. The final score does not matter.
